How the Alarm Receiving Centre works

If your alarm is triggered by a movement sensor, door contact or smoke detector, your system calls Group 4's Alarm Receiving Centre. If one device is activated they contact one of your nominated key holders. If a second device is activated they contact the police, emergency services and you if necessary.

Extra protection against personal attack, fire, or while you're away

The Alarm Receiving Centre will make sure that A 'Personal Attack' signal from a monitored alarm is immediately policed. Even if you are forced to turn off the alarm, you can alert Alarm Receiving Centre with a secret code (duress) signal.

With a monitored smoke detector included, this stays 'set' even if the main intruder alarm is not 'set'. So if a fire occurs and you are incapacitated the ARC can call the Fire Brigade.

If there is a problem with your alarm while you are away the ARC can alert a key holder. With a bell-only system a fault may persist until you return.
